The Power of Promising: Living in Flourishing Relationship with Everyone

What if the key to living in flourishing relationships with people in your life was in how we think about just one word? In this introspective and interactive workshop, Carol Herndon and Paul Bennett show us how unclear, unspoken and unmet expectations in our relationships all come down to one word...Promise. 

Through reflective journaling exercises and group sharing discussions, participants will explore new ways to understand how the power of promising can help us experience all of our relationships with curiosity, adventure and creativity. 

About the Presenters

Paul Bennett and Carol Herndon are explorers in the realm of relationship. Meeting in their 50′s, they set about to invent a marriage unlike any other they had known. That exploration has brought them into communities of couples who are on their own paths to profoundly fulfilling relationships. Together, they have served as the Chair of the Board of Couples Coaching Couples, a national organization of couples who support one another in weekly coaching calls. They have led couples’ workshops, and originated an adventure known as Treasure Hunt for Couples.

Carol is an attorney specializing in business law and intellectual property licensing. 

Paul is a freelance writer focusing on book projects. His memoir, Loving Grief, was named the “Best Inspirational Book” for the fall of 2009 by the Montserrat Review. Paul sits on the Board of the Shalom Mountain Retreat Center, and is the Executive Editor of the new Integral Wisdom Press.
