HeartBEATS: A Communal Drumming Circle

Roy Brown Eagle is for our first HeartBEATS event of the year and the DECADE! First he will share a story during our Service, then he'll lead HeartBEATS -- our quarterly energizing communal drum circle experience in our sacred space of the Sanctuary. No prior drumming or musical experience is required. Participants need not bring a drum, though those who do have their own drums are encouraged to bring them. 

You’ll have the opportunity to learn the basics of a communal drumming experience, including:

• Drum circle etiquette and appropriate handling of drums
• Basic stroke and rhythm patterns
• Polyrhythmic drumming patterns

The afternoon concludes with a optional spirit journey experience intended to channel the positive energy raised by communal drumming into powerful personal healing.
