Exploring Labyrinths

Labyrinths have existed since Ancient Egypt. A “unicursal labyrinth” has but one path to center, without side passages or dead ends.  During the Medieval period, the unicursal labyrinth, sometimes had winding path around the four points of a cross, being symbolic of a pilgrims journey, both in the temporal and spiritual worlds.  There are two labyrinths at Stillwaters: a masculine and a feminine, which are mirror images. They were designed by MerylAnn Butler, International Labyrinth founder.
