Death is a part of life, and our western culture often forgets this, leading us to denial of it, despair about it and fear of it! Tonight at the Death Cafe, we recognize the LIFE that is inherent in DEATH that is inherent in LIFE. we gather to start an ongoing conversation about this part of life with compassion, tenderness and humor.Â
At a Death Cafe people, often strangers, gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death. It is a safe environment where we create an open dialogue to discuss any topic related to death with no agenda, objectives or themes. The group directed discussion does not substitute as a grief support group or counseling session, but instead a place to talk about something we've all been thinking about: death.Â
