          A thorough grounding in the basics of Spiritual Healing is not only important but necessary.   "Begin as you mean to continue" -- words echoed by the great medium and teacher Clifford Bias -- tell us how valuable it is to get it right from the start.   Spiritual Healing can be a breeding ground for the ego mind, unless properly directed spiritward.   Allow the Institute's seasoned teachers guide you into your first steps of opening to Spiritual Healing and then take the next step of developing and refining your talents.   The classes are always filled with practical methodology and advice, clearly delineating what is appropriate and what is to be avoided.  Begin with a Spiritual Healing Class providing insightful lecture and practical exercises.  Then try any other interesting modalities and expressions of healing – massage and body work, energetic, hands on and off, crystal, sounds and esoteric.  Then be sure to pepper your developmental program with the Spiritual Healing courses as lectures and exercises take on a new depth and meaning as you gain in your own experience.   Always interesting and fun, open yourself to a deeper way of knowing and join us for our Healing Classes..

Healing Certification Course

          Knowing that the key to growth and experience in the healing field is knowledge and practice, the Institute seeks to provide a well rounded program and best possible environment for continuing growth and expansion for the development of one’s ability to channel Spirit for healing.   The individual is supported in their gradual opening to their own healing abilities and to the Spirit forces around them.
         The certification program is an intense 6 weeks of study and experiential learning.   It consists of 6 evening lectures and two all day Saturday workshops.   Initially, the student begins to sense and feel spiritual energy, gaining an understanding of the energy centers and their balance.   The first workshop is conducted to assist the student in gaining knowledge of the mind-body relationship.   It is also an opportunity do real hands on spiritual healing.   A variety of spiritual techniques are explored including remote healing and prayer circle work.   The course concludes with an all day workshop facilitated by certified instructors in healing modalities that the student might wish to develop further skills and certifications.   Often our students have already obtained one certification or go on to become certified / licensed in areas of their interest.
         A student must complete all sessions and demonstrate proficiency with spiritual healing to be certified by the Institute.
         Not for the dilettante or the merely curious, the Healing Certification Program is a sacred commitment between you and the Spirit World.   Since the proper attitude and commitment is required, Certification is open to those who show the highest level of maturity and preparedness.    ISD Certified Healers provide healing sessions before and after services, at Healing Fairs and private sessions.

Opportunities for Service

          Once an individual has attained the certification from the Institute, the next step in the development process is service.   The growth becomes too self-centered and stifled unless it is turned outward for the purpose of aiding those in need.
         To this end, the Institute offers opportunities to serve those in need of the healing touch that comes from Spirit. 

• Before Service Healings

  One half hour before most Services, a time for healing and quiet meditation is provided in the Sanctuary.   The healer stands in readiness behind a chair, offering their services when the chair is filled.

• In-Service Healing Meditation

  On most Sundays, a portion of the Service is reserved for Healing.  The Master of Ceremonies will conduct a brief guided meditation from the podium.  Healers are invited up during this time to stand in front of the Congregation and send healing energy.

• After Service Healings

  Three twelve minute one-on-one sessions with seekers scheduled immediately after Sunday Services.

• Healing Fairs & Wellness Days

  Conducted on the fourth Saturday of most even months.   A one hour introductory lecture of healing techniques or modality is presented including demonstration at the start of each Healing Fair.   Sessions are available from the lecturer.  A variety of 25 minute sessions area available from ISD Certified Healers:

          All service provided by the healers is offered gratis and is within the practice of their religion and spiritual beliefs.   Any collected funds are used for the sustenance of our Spiritual Home.
