course provides the participant with a broad specturm of non-medical healing
techniques and extensive practical experience. With highly qualified
guidance and tutoring, students will find assurance and direction for their
healing ability. This is a Certification Program and is required for
anyone wishing to be recognized as a Healer with the Institute for Spiritual
Development. Classes may be taken on an individual basis for

Join us as we explore the history and legends surrounding these beautiful gifts of nature. Learn how to select the “right” crystal to assist you, how cleanse and charge your crystals, how to meditate with them, and more. Participants are encouraged to bring any crystals they would like to learn to work with. |

Palisades Independence Day
Parade

When was the last time you were
in a parade? Following our Morning Celebration Service, we will gather to
participate in the Palisades 4th of July Parade. Come join us as we join
in celebrating our country's birthday with the greater community.
As in past years, the parade will include a wide range of
participants, from neighborhood children on decorated bicycles to elected city
officials, as well as the Washington Scottish Bagpipe Band, Bolivian Soul, the
Georgetown-Palisades Lions Club, Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of
D.C., the D.C. Different Drummers marching band, the D.C. Fire Department
Engine Company 29, the United Horseman's Association, clowns and vintage cars.
The festivities conclude at the Palisades Recreation Center
with a free picnic of hot dogs, juice and watermelon. Prizes, provided
by local businesses, will be awarded. Categories include "Most Creative
Child," "Best Group," "Best Decorated Vehicle," "Best Decorated Bicycle," "Most
Creative Adult" and "Best Decorated Pet." At the park, youngsters can
enjoy the state-of-the art playground and spray area, as well as horseback
rides, clowns and two moon bounces..
