The other day I came across a bumper sticker which took a very ordinary wordused perhaps many times a day for most peopleand magically transformed it with an adept use of an apostrophe. The bumper sticker read: Impossible What a great demonstration of how we can change our attitude, willingness, and enthusiasm by slightly altering the way we look at something! What a wonderful affirmation to take something that seems impossible (only because we have accepted that reality as true) and make it possible by confirming our own creativity and abilities.
Impossible Big changes can be accomplished by making small adjustments usually in our thinking. By realizing that it is possible because Im possible invites a whole new energy of creativity and confidence where previously there was a closed door of limitation and despair. Imagine the enormous changes in our lives by practicing this art of slightly moving the apostrophe, comma, syllable, word, phrase, thought or actionby working it until it moves us into the direction of hope and growth. Let us become the ultimate architects of our lives, redirecting every challenge to a previously unimagined beneficial outcome. Impossible How many doors to our fulfillment have we closed, because we were convinced that they couldnt be opened? How many opportunities for happiness, joy and possibility have we ignored under the pretense of lack or negation: Im-. I cant do this because I dont have that. Doing to have. Having to do. We are offered a key to release ourselves from this having-doing cycle of stagnation. Change the negation, Im-, to an affirmation of being and becoming, Im and mean it! Impossible What an exciting choice this little bumper sticker offers us: to live life with or without the apostrophe. Which are you choosing? Impossible |
